Starting a new academic term or season presents a unique challenge for athletic administrators. By preparing your Compliance + Recruiting account before the start of the new academic term or season, you can ensure that your athletes, coaches, and staff are set up to hit the ground running. Below, please find a checklist of best practices to help you prepare for the start of term or season.

If your organization utilizes Compliance + Recruiting with Teamworks Hub, please review the following actions to ensure your organization configures your product accounts correctly.
Compliance and Recruiting + Hub
Profiles
When adding new athletes, the administrators should follow the workflow below.
Promote Recruits to Athletes in the Compliance + Recruiting platform.
When promoting recruits to athletes, utilize the Add to Hub feature to create the athlete's profile in Hub.
Do not create an athlete profile in Hub if you can first promote the recruit to an athlete and add the athlete to Hub from the Compliance + Recruiting platform. Promoting the recruit and adding to Hub from Compliance + Recruiting should always be the first option.
Calendar
Teamworks Hub calendar appointments will sync to the Compliance + Recruiting calendar. This is a one-way sync (the Compliance + Recruiting calendar will not sync to Teamworks Hub). Therefore, if your organization is planning to utilize the Hub + Compliance and Recruiting CARA integration, make sure coaches build out calendar appointments in Hub, not Compliance + Recruiting. Account management
Create the new academic year to ensure your academic calendar is correct for the new school year.
Review your internal workflow forms and make any updates for the upcoming year. If you wish, you can create workflow packets for athletes and staff to complete.
Once workflows are updated, assign workflows to your student-athletes for completion.
Configure your complimentary ticket settings for the upcoming year.
If your organization is utilizing Teamworks Hub and Compliance + Recruiting and you wish to use Single Sign-on (SSO), configure your Teamworks Hub SSO.
Roster management
Update roster statuses. Be sure to deactivate any non-returning student-athletes.
Add new student-athletes via import, manually, or by promoting recruits to student-athletes.
Manually enter or use the import option to update your student-athletes' participation.
Integrations
Use the Teamworks App Switcher to easily navigate between your Teamworks products accounts without having to enter login credentials each time you change products.
