All questions on a questionnaire must be mapped to either an ARMS Standard Field or a Custom Field that you have created. If you want to create a new question that is not represented by a current field in ARMS , you can create this new custom field inside the questionnaire builder.

To do this, simply click into the Questionnaire Admin screen by clicking "Manage Questions" in the top right corner of Questionnaire Details screen. Once here you will see the full list of mapped fields available along the left hand side of the screen. You can click "New Field" and a box will pop up for you to name the field, give it a category, and determine the type of field you'd like to add. Once added this new field will show up in your full list of available fields.

Simply click the "+" sign next to the field name to add it to the questionnaire, and then drag and drop it within the questionnaire builder to place it where you would like. This question is automatically mapped to the new custom field you created and visible in the recruit profile where you can also customize your profile view to place it where you would like.
