Messages to Student-Athletes can be sent from various areas of the ARMS Mobile app, either in the form of a Conversation with an individual or as a bulk Announcement to a group of Student-Athletes. As messages are sent, they are updated within the User's list of Conversations.
NOTE: All announcements and messages to student-athletes are sent out as one-to-one communication between the coach or administrator sending the announcement and each student-athlete receiving the message (similar to how emails are sent to recruits).
Individually Message a Student-Athlete
Start a New Conversation
Select Messaging from the App Menu
Select the New Conversation icon from the top-right
Select the Student-Athlete from the Individuals tab or search by typing the Student-Athlete's name into the Search bar
Tap on the Student-Athlete's name to add it to the Recipient List
Tap Next
Type the new message
Tap Send

Update an Existing Conversation
Select Messaging from the App Menu
Select the conversation from the Conversations tab
Tap on the Conversation associated with the Student-Athlete
Tap on the Enter Message area
Type the new message

Open the Student-Athlete's profile
Tap the Message icon from the Action Bar
Tap on the Enter Message area
Type the new message

Send a Team Announcement from the Dashboard
From the Dashboard:
Tap the Send Team Announcement card
Type the new message
Tap Send
NOTE: For multi-sport Users, the Dashboard option is associated with your current sport.

Send a Team Announcement from the Roster
Open the Roster
Tap on the Action Menu icon in the top-right
Tap on the Send Announcement option
Type the new message
Tap Send

Tap on a specific group
Tap on the Action Menu icon in the top-right
Tap on the Send Announcement option

Tip: You can also send an Announcement to a Roster Group by sliding right from the Groups page and selecting the Message option.
Send a Team Announcement to a Selected Group of Student-Athletes
From any list of Student-Athletes:
Long press on a Student-Athlete within the list
Select additional Student-Athletes
Tap on the Action Menu icon in the top-right
Tap on the Send Announcement option
Type the new message
Tap Send
